Working with the Explore Careers College Majors Tool

Select your top three values from the choices on the Explore Careers & College Majors web page. The Values Assessment will identify occupations that are compatible with your work values. Your work values are job-related beliefs and ideas that are important to you.

 

Life Values Inventory Online

Another example of a values inventory is the Life Values Inventory.

 The Life Values Inventory Online measures the following values - 

  • Achievement - It is important to challenge yourself and work hard to improve.

  • Creativity - It is important to have new ideas or to create new things.

  • Objective Analysis - It is important to use scientific principles to understand and solve problems.

  • Responsibility - It is important to follow the traditions and expectations of your family or group.

  • Concern for Others - The well-being of others is important.

  • Humility - It is important to be humble and modest about your accomplishments.

  • Independence - It is important to make your own decisions and do things your way.

  • Privacy - It is important to have time alone.

  • Responsibility - It is important to be dependable and trustworthy.

  • Belonging - It is important to be accepted by others and to feel included.

  • Health & Activity - It is important to be healthy and physically active.

  • Concern for Environment - It is important to protect and preserve the environment.

  • Financial Prosperity - It is important to be successful at making money or buying property
